Established in 2001 the results of the Beis have been far beyond our initial expectations. Although originally planned as an alternative option for those students of the boys’ school wanting a more intense Jewish Studies programme, currently all upper school students attend ‘The Beis’.
Following the success of the Beis, a similar programme, the Midrasha was launched for the girls’ school in 2009. The learning of Torah L’shmo (for its own sake) is of paramount importance to us. Notwithstanding that, research shows that the learning methodology provided by our Jewish Studies programmes teaches the students learning skills that hold them in good stead for their future secular studies and careers. At Hasmonean we are extremely proud of the boys’ Beis and girls’ Midrasha programmes that help to provide a spiritual home for our children and expand their opportunities for growth and commitment to Torah Im Derech Eretz.
Hasmonean Learning has been launched in order to allow sponsorship at £1000 for a week or £180 for a day, of the 400 students that learn with our outstanding educators every day in the special environments of the Beis & Midrasha. This can be in the memory or merit of someone special or to mark an important occasion and will ensure the continuation and growth of our students.
